Venezuelan designer and photographer, Mariana (Martinis) Orban, credits her parents – both prominent architects – as being the key influencers in her profession. They taught her to love and appreciate shapes, colors, light, and most importantly, the essence of life. The years she spent surrounded by the arts encouraged her to take her first lessons in design and photography. What started as a hobby soon grew to be a passion when she discovered new techniques during her undergraduate studies. The knowledge acquired while studying to be a graphic designer opened Mariana up to new possibilities in photography.
Mariana documents life by capturing the emotional, real and spontaneous moments. She loves to stop those unique moments from running away. The key to make her subjects feel comfortable to express themselves is by directing them in a natural and organic way.
She enjoys photographing the circle of life: weddings, maternity, newborns and families.
